Peer Advisors

Peer Advisors are undergraduate Illinois State University students working as paid paraprofessionals within University College Academic Advisement.

Peer Advisors have the following responsibilities:

  • Conducting individual advisement conferences with students
  • Explaining and reviewing degree requirements and the Academic Progress Summary and I-Campus "Progress toward my degree" link
  • Contacting students regarding advisement and academic support services
  • Staffing the University College Academic Advisement Help Desk and Phone Bank
  • Office and caseload management tasks
  • Assist office staff with customer service related tasks
