Registering for Classes
Stressful as planning for the upcoming semester may be, Illinois State University makes registration easy through the iCampus portal. Our online system allows students to register for courses, on-campus or off, through any computer with an Internet connection.
To register for classes follow the steps listed:
- Log in to the iCampus portal with your ULID and password.
- Enter your PIN in the Student Information channel.
- Locate and review your registration date which can be found via the “My Info” tab. Please note: You will not be allowed to access the registration system before this date. Make sure to make an appointment with your advisor before this date to plan your next semester schedule by calling (309) 438-7604.
- If your date and time have arrived to register click the “Course Registration” link in the Student Information channel.
- Select the correct semester for which you plan to register for classes and hit Submit.
- Use the three links (Select Term, My Class Directory, My Current Schedule) to navigate the registration system.
- To find a course click the My Class Directory link and find the specific department (listed alphabetically) and enter the course number in the appropriate box of the class in which you would like to enroll.
- If you would like to see all the open courses in a specific department, leave the course number box empty and click the red “Show Open Courses and Sections” button.
- Select a course by clicking “Select Section” on the far right of the screen.
- The next screen will prompt you to hit the Register button to add the course to your schedule.
- You must click the Register button to add the course to your schedule!
- Repeat the steps to add other courses.
