TRiO/Student Support Services

 

Student Support Services at Illinois State University is a student-oriented program that provides support services to individuals who are traditionally under-represented in post-secondary education.

The varieties of supportive services are designed to help program participants maximize their effectiveness as students and make successful progress toward graduation. From enrollment to graduation, Student Support Services staff members are dedicated to offering individualized assistance that will enhance the academic, personal, and professional potential of the students who participate in the program.

Program Eligibility

Students attending Illinois State University may be eligible for participation in the SSS program if they meet any of the following guidelines:

  • First generation college student (neither parent graduated from a four-year college/university)
  • Have a demonstrated financial need according to federal guidelines
  • Have a demonstrated academic need for support services
  • Have a documented disability

How to apply?

If interested in being a part of the program, print and fill out the online SSS Application. If eligible, you will be contacted to schedule an interview with the SSS Director.
