As a means of providing students the opportunity to network with minority faculty and staff members and gain insights into the challenges they faced as they pursued their chosen careers, the Minority Academic Student Center hosts weekly Career Path Chat sessions during the months of September, October and November each fall semester. Selected members of Illinois State University's minority faculty and staff are invited to meet with students to discuss their personal career paths. The chat sessions are designed to enhance student awareness of the various career opportunities available to them as well as the "ups" and "downs" faced by the presenters as they strived to achieve their career goals and aspirations.
