Preview Guides

The Preview program has been an integral part of the new student experience since 1966. From the beginning, Preview Guides have been recognized for the key role they play in welcoming and helping new students and their families transition to the Redbird family.

Guides perform diverse tasks throughout the program, and these tasks require many different skills. Because of the complexity of the job and its impact on new students, faculty and administrators have the utmost respect for the students who serve in this important role. Preview Guide alumni often mention their Guide experience as one of the most valuable they had while at Illinois State University. Please read on to learn how you can become an important part of the University and gain invaluable experience and lasting memories!
