How do I get my UID (University ID Number) and ULID (University Log-On ID)?

You can find your UID by logging into Welcome2ISU. Students who applied to the university on paper and did not provide an email address will be mailed a letter containing their UID.

Your ULID account gives you access to many electronic resources at Illinois State University, such as: iCampus, computer labs, and software downloads. You should personally activate your ULID account before attending a Transfer Day Program. To activate your ULID account, do the following:

  1. Visit the ULID Activation site.
  2. Click ULID Activation.
  3. Complete the online form to activate your ULID account.
  4. The last step requires you to create a password. Remember your password! Do not share your password with anyone! This password is yours alone (not your parents'). During Transfer Days, you will use your ULID and password, so it's important you remember it. Choose and answer a Self-Reset Question.  The Self-Reset Question can be used to reset your password if you forget it at a later time. You will use your ULID and password to log in to iCampus and register for classes. You cannot register for classes until your scheduled Transfer Days date.

If you have any questions about your ULID account, password, or electronic resources available on campus, contact the University Computer Help Desk at (309) 438-HELP (4357). The Help Desk office is located in Julian Hall 115.
