What's Next?

So after you attend a Transfer Day Program, you'll be heading home with a bag full of information. Once you've gotten home and unpacked your things, you're probably wondering what's next?

The weekend prior to the start of the Fall semester, Illinois State offers the Passages Welcome Weekend. Passages encourages student interaction, university involvement and focuses on connecting you to Illinois State University.

During this welcome weekend, you'll enjoy a number of programs and activities that will answer any questions you may have about academics, living in the residence halls, and getting involved at the University. You'll discover how Illinois State can help you develop your unique talents and interests, and will provide you with individualized resources to help you succeed.

Activities during passages include:

  • Picnicking on the Quad
  • Meeting with your Academic Department
  • Attending a Technology QuickStart session to get you acclimated to Illinois State's different technologies
  • Walking through Milner Library, learning bout the resources available to Illinois State students

For more information on the Passages Welcome Weekend, you can check out the Passages Web site. Please note that posted schedules are examples of possible activities for this year's Welcome Weekend.
